HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
December 1st - 10th
Building on Diablo’s very successful virtual Emergency Food Drive in April, our Holiday Food Drive will also be virtual, so you can donate online rather than in person. The need for food is urgent in our community with the food bank now providing food to over 178,000 people per month. The Contra Costa Solano Food Bank has indicated that what it needs most is monetary donations. Its bulk buying power allows the food bank to purchase food at far lower costs than we can and to get exactly what is needed to feed those in need. The Food Bank is truly grateful for our collective contributions of almost $25,000 in April. Let’s show once again that Diablo truly cares!
Here is how you can participate:

2. Donate cash or check by dropping it off at Novak Residence (1844 El Nido)
3. For pickup at your home, please call or email Jan Novak at 925-785-4463 or jvnovak@msn.com
If you have already purchased food to donate, there will be a small bin outside Jan's front door.

FOOD BANK OF CONTRA COSTA
Since the start of Covid 19 pandemic, 50% more people have relied on the Contra Costa Food Bank to put food on their table. Diablo has donated over $50,000 and 158 lbs of food as of July 2020, making our small community the largest donor to the food bank’s Virtual Food Drive.
The need for food continues to soar, so we plan to continue facilitating support the Food Bank.
