WALKING TOUR BEGINS AT THE COURT HOUSE AT DIABLO COUNTRY CLUB.
David Mackesey will lead a 2.5 hour journey that begins with the dedication of Mt Diablo in 1921 and weaves in stories from the Golden Era as we make our way up Alameda Diablo. Tour ends with lunch in the garden at Gablewood.
REGISTRATION CLOSED 10/10/24
The Court House is located just below the club house - between the golf hitting nets and the tennis courts.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
Picnic box lunches, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be hosted by the DPOA in the garden of one of the spectacular historic homes. Thank you David and Elizabeth Birka-White for opening your home to us.
Come along with us on a nostalgic journey back into the Golden Era of Diablo. Visit historically significant locations and hear fascinating tales of early residents who made their mark on history. Our annual walking tours are made possible by generous community donations to the DPOA.
